The oldest cake in the world is an intact wedding cake, 115 years old now. It was baked in Victorian age in 1898. After experiencing two world wars, this refined cake was still miraculously intact, though the color has become yellow as time passes; the fruit inside this cake still has moisture. Now it is displayed at the Willis Museum of Basingstoke. It is said this cake was donated by the baker’s daughter at the end of her life, because she was afraid that one day someone who discovered it at her home would mistake she was abandoned on the wedding ceremony.
