What candle flame looks like in space

candle burns in space

A candle can burn under the zero gravity, but the flame is quite different in space than on earth and it burns longer. This photograph shows a candle’s flame in micro gravity. It is actually an almost invisible blue color, which expands outward and has a circular shape.

Without gravity, all forces from different direction acting on the flame are equal so it becomes symmetrical.
